Senior Data Scientist

The Opportunity

A leading financial consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to deliver AI, Machine Learning and Data Science solutions for major financial services clients. This is an excellent opportunity to lead technical delivery, shape AI strategy and work on cutting-edge technologies within a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver AI and machine learning solutions using modern data science techniques.
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions.
• Manage and mentor small teams of Data Scientists.
• Develop and deploy production-grade machine learning models.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership through industry engagement and innovation.

Requirements

• Strong Python, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-Learn and Spark experience.
• Experience delivering real-world AI and machine learning systems.
• Understanding of statistics and machine learning methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms and large-scale data environments.
• Knowledge of LLMs, evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering and RAG architectures is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and Agile delivery experience.
• Previous consulting or financial services experience preferred.
