Middleware Architect

I am recruiting for a Middleware Architect to work on a hybrid basis - 3 days in Dunstable, 2 days remote.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will be required to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

You will be responsible for producing high level designs for Middleware architecture solutions. You will also maintain the technology roadmap for Middleware related technologies in line with end of support dates.

Experience with one or more relevant technologies such as IBM MQ, SWIFT, IBM Workload Scheduler, GoAnywhere or Apache Tomcat is essential.

Experience working in payments, financial services or other regulated, high-availability environments would be preferable.

Familiarity with Linux platforms, containerisation and cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures is also required.

You must have a clear understanding of how non-functional requirements such as performance and availability are delivered by a technology solution.

Proven experience designing Middleware and integration solutions, with technical depth in one or more relevant technologies.

Ability to translate non-functional requirements into resilient, scalable, recoverable and observable architecture designs.
