Dynatrace Subject Matter Expert - Financial Services

Working with the Enterprise Monitoring & Alerting (EMAS) function to maximise the value of the Dynatrace platform and uplift monitoring maturity across the organisation’s most critical services, our client is seeking a Dynatrace SME with deep platform knowledge—both SaaS and Managed—to drive end-to-end monitoring enablement, improve operational resilience, and support stronger business alignment through data-driven insights.
This project will deliver an initiative that will maximise the capability of the Dynatrace platform and ensure full End-to-End Monitoring coverage exists across the Group’s business-critical applications. We are seeking a skilled Dynatrace Admin/Consultant to play a key role in the enablement of observability across complex, hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Dynatrace implementation (SaaS and On-Premises), monitoring configuration, and AI-driven insights to support performance, reliability, and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Application Specialists and SREs to validate critical assets in scope for observability uplift.
- Assess and enhance Dynatrace coverage across business-critical applications.
- Identify and implement monitoring configuration improvements across hybrid environments.
- Review and refine observability roles, responsibilities, and standards with a focus on operational resilience.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated end-to-end business flow mapping within Dynatrace.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure alerting configurations are accurate, actionable, and aligned to service needs.
- Participate in workshops with third-party vendors to review and evolve observability standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable expertise in designing and configuring:
- Application Performance Monitoring; Anomaly detection profiles; Alerting rules and profiles; Synthetic monitoring
- Log monitoring; Real User Monitoring (RUM) for web and mobile; Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and Grail for advanced analytics
- API-based integrations in complex, distributed environments
Experience using Davis AI to:
- Automatically detect anomalies and degradations
- Correlate events across full-stack architectures
- Provide predictive, proactive insights
