Senior Azure SQL Migration Engineer (SC Cleared)

AgileSource are seeking an experienced Senior Azure SQL Migration Engineer to support large-scale cloud transformation and database modernisation programmes.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on SQL Server and Azure SQL migrations, working across enterprise environments to assess, plan, migrate and optimise critical database platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SQL Server to Azure SQL migration projects
• Conduct database assessments and dependency analysis
• Perform schema and data migrations
• Optimise database performance and reliability
• Support Azure DevOps CI/CD implementation
• Automate database deployment and operational processes
• Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure engineers and application teams

Essential

• Strong SQL Server administration and engineering experience
• Azure SQL Database and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance
• End-to-end database migration delivery
• T-SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning
• Azure cloud environments
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Active SC Clearance

Desirable Skills

• Terraform or Bicep
• PowerShell or Python
• Azure Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Enterprise cloud transformation experience
• Government or regulated sector experience
