Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst

Agilis Search is partnering with a leading, highly reputable, professional services organisation in Bury St Edmunds who are looking for a Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a curious and detail-focused Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst, you will help this collaborative and supportive organisation make better, faster decisions by improving how they use data across the business.

You will work with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and advanced Excel to streamline processes, automate tasks, and transform how their teams work.

What You’ll Do

  • Use Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and advanced Excel to improve and automate business processes.
  • Build smart solutions that help teams move away from manual spreadsheets to more efficient digital tools.
  • Support system and process changes across the company, helping teams quickly resolve IT or data-related queries.
  • Work with the BI and Operations teams to customise software solutions that improve business efficiency.
  • Analyse and model key business data using Power BI and Snowflake to support reporting and management decision-making.
  • Use AI tools to improve the accuracy and impact of data insights.
  • Carry out regular data checks to ensure information is accurate, reliable, and up to date.
  • Test and support the rollout of new back-office system features.
  • Identify data issues and escalate when needed.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve systems, processes, and the way we work.

About You

Essential:

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a business environment
  • Experience working with business data, ETL processes, and data modelling
  • Data analysis and report-building experience
  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and Power Query)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident with data management and analysis
  • Able to follow procedures and raise issues when needed
  • Curious, analytical, and eager to learn
  • A clear communicator who builds strong working relationships
  • Professional, trustworthy, and supportive to colleagues

Desirable:

  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Power BI or Excel
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Knowledge of data warehouses or APIs
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Commercial awareness
