AI Transformation Director (HR Tech) | £125k + 20% bonus
I'm working with an established consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Director to help organisations transform the way their HR functions operate through AI, automation and emerging technologies.
For this role I'm looking to speak to someone who has recent tangible and demonstrable working with AI transformation, strategy, and application - not just an interest in it.
This is a senior, strategic position focused on helping businesses move beyond traditional HR technology implementations and explore how AI can fundamentally change their operating models, processes and ways of working. The focus is on identifying genuine opportunities for transformation, challenging established approaches and helping organisations make informed decisions around their technology investments.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to develop AI and technology strategies, identify and prioritise use cases, assess feasibility and investment requirements, and build business cases for change. This could involve emerging AI technologies such as OpenAI and Claude, or AI capabilities embedded within enterprise platforms including SAP, Workday, ServiceNow and Microsoft. An understanding of the practical challenges around implementation, governance, cost and adoption will be important.
Alongside this, you'll lead complex transformation engagements, advise clients on their future HR operating models and help develop new consulting propositions. There is also a significant commercial element to the position, involving developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting the growth of the wider consulting offering.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in HR transformation, ideally gained within a consulting environment, who understands how technology can improve and fundamentally reshape HR service delivery. You'll need to be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, challenging existing processes and translating emerging technologies into practical business outcomes.
Practical AI experience is important, although we're not necessarily looking for someone with years of AI delivery behind them. Experience developing AI strategies, assessing potential use cases, building investment cases or delivering AI initiatives would all be relevant. Equally, you don't need to be a technical specialist in any particular HR platform. The ability to understand the wider technology landscape and identify the right solutions for different business challenges is far more important.
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in an evolving area of consulting, combining HR transformation expertise with the latest developments in AI. You'll have the opportunity to shape client strategies, develop new offerings and influence how organisations approach the future of HR.
If you're currently working in HR transformation, technology strategy or AI consulting and are interested in exploring a senior leadership opportunity, get in touch for a confidential conversation.
