The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electronic Architect to join a highly respected engineering organisation developing complex, high-performance electronic systems used in demanding and safety-critical environments.

As part of the Electronics Engineering function, you will play a key role in defining future electronic solutions, influencing technology roadmaps, and supporting the development of next-generation products from concept through to delivery.

Working as the technical authority for electronic equipment, you will be responsible for defining system architectures, allocating requirements across subsystems, and ensuring challenging technical and customer requirements are achieved within tight physical, environmental, and performance constraints.

This role would suit somebody who enjoys balancing hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership and system-level decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop electronic and electrical architectures for complex products and systems.
  • Decompose system requirements into subsystem and equipment-level requirements.
  • Lead technical decision-making across the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet performance, environmental, safety, security, and customer requirements.
  • Support technology strategy, research activities, and future product development roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage technical risks and identify appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout design, integration, verification, and qualification activities.
  • Act as a key technical interface for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
