Founding Engineer

We're working with an early-stage, VC-backed startup in London that is building an AI platform to automate finance operations. They're looking for a Founding Engineer to join the team and help shape the product, technology, and company from day one.
What The Role Involves

• Own critical systems: Build platforms that automate invoicing, revenue collection, and cost attribution. Design APIs, integrate with finance and payment systems, and handle real-time data pipelines.
• Shape the product from zero: Work alongside the CTO to drive architecture, technology choices, and product direction. Your decisions will directly impact how the company scales.
• Ship fast on customer feedback: Deploy features to early customers, iterate based on their needs, and eliminate manual work in finance processes.
• Set engineering standards: Establish development practices, testing approaches, and deployment processes to ensure reliable, high-quality systems.
  

Who They're Looking For

• 5+ years building and scaling complex systems.
• Full-stack development expertise: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, REST APIs, reactive UIs, and database design.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: excited by startup speed, flexible roles, and building from scratch.
