Oracle Fusion Product Owner - Public Sector - £79-£86k - Permanent, full time - Hybrid
Lead the team. Own the platform. Shape what comes next.
This public sector organisation has done something few can right now: it has invested in a permanent, in-house Oracle team. A new team of Oracle support specialists is in place, a new managed support partnership is starting, and recent improvement work has put Oracle Fusion Cloud on a much firmer footing. It now needs a leader to take Oracle from stable to excellent, and to build a team and a service that Finance, HR and IT can rely on.
The role:
As Oracle Fusion Product Owner, you'll own Oracle Fusion Cloud across HCM, Finance, Procurement and the wider suite, and lead the team that supports it. You will:
- lead, develop and grow the new Oracle Support Team
- manage the managed support partner's contract and performance
- chair the Oracle Change Advisory Board and report to the Oracle Governance Board
- own the change budget and prioritise change requests that deliver real savings
- keep the system healthy: defects resolved on time, environments well managed, and quarterly updates tested with the business
- be the main contact for Finance, HR and IT colleagues, and make sure controls and governance are followed by the team, users and the partner
About you:
You'll bring:
- significant hands-on experience supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud (ideally five years), across more than one area such as HCM, Financials, EPM, Projects, Talent or Learn
- experience managing a third-party support partner against SLAs
- experience running change governance, such as a CAB, release management and testing, using ITIL practices
- the confidence to build trust with Finance, HR and IT colleagues at all levels
- experience leading or developing a team
It would help if you also have environment management experience, public sector experience, or a background in establishment and position data.
You don't need to tick every box. If you know Oracle Fusion well and are ready to step up to lead a team, the organisation wants to hear from you and will support your development.
Why join
- Real backing: a newly funded team and an organisation that sees Oracle as critical
- A clean start: you'll shape the relationship with the new support partner from day one
- Visible impact: your decisions reach every employee, manager and supplier
- Balance: hybrid working, typically 2 office days a week, and flexible working considered
- Security: a strong public sector pension and a commitment to fair, inclusive work
- Development: support to grow into the role, and a development plan for your team
