A major UK Government digital team is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile cross-government digital product. This role will focus on working across multiple public sector organisations to deliver a SaaS-based platform, helping improve how government understands, shares and utilises information across complex organisational boundaries.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Product Manager with strong Government or Local Government experience who can thrive in ambiguity, build consensus amongst diverse stakeholders, and deliver value at pace. You'll work closely with senior leadership, enterprise architects and multidisciplinary delivery teams, shaping product strategy whilst driving delivery through Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the vision, strategy and delivery of a complex SaaS-based government digital product
- Own and prioritise the product roadmap, backlog and delivery outcomes
- Work across multiple government organisations to understand user needs, challenges and opportunities
- Manage stakeholder relationships at senior levels across technical and non-technical communities
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, delivery managers, technical specialists and policy teams
- Translate complex business and user requirements into prioritised product increments
- Drive Agile delivery practices including backlog management, user stories, sprint planning and product reviews
- Develop business cases, benefits realisation plans and product performance measures
- Manage product risks, dependencies and delivery challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Support product adoption, organisational change and continuous improvement activities

Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience operating as a Senior Product Manager, Lead Product Manager or Digital Product Manager
- Strong experience delivering digital products within Central Government, Local Government or the wider Public Sector
- Proven ability to work across multiple organisations and stakeholder groups simultaneously
- Experience delivering SaaS, platform or enterprise digital products
- Experience working on products involving data sharing, integration or governance across large organisations
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog management, user stories and sprint planning
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements and tight delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary digital, data and architecture teams
- Able to work predominantly remotely, with occasional quarterly travel to team collaboration days in London, Bristol or Manchester

Desirable Experience:
- GDS-aligned product management experience
- Experience working alongside Enterprise Architecture functions
- Experience delivering products involving data sharing and integration across multiple organisations
- Local Government transformation experience
- Experience working within large and complex government programmes
- Product certifications such as Scrum.org PSPO, BCS Product Management or SAFe
- JIRA experience
- Previous experience working within secure government environments (SC/DV cleared)
