The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality digital services on major Central Government programmes.

This role requires a strong full-stack background, a passion for modern engineering practices, and experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications
• Contribute to microservices and event-driven architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps
• Build secure, resilient, and high-performing systems in AWS environments
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement practices
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to technical decision-making

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working on Central Government projects
• Strong expertise in:
• Node.js
• React
• Angular
• AWS
• Terraform
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Eligible for BPSS clearance

Technical Skills

Backend & Frontend:

• Java (11) including Spring Boot, Dropwizard, Hibernate, Jersey, CXF, Maven
• JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Mongoose, Sequelize, Gulp)

Architecture & Messaging:

• Microservices and event-driven architecture
• Messaging tools such as ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka
• API Gateways (e.g. Kong or equivalent)

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• SonarQube, Nexus, Artifactory

Cloud:

• Strong AWS experience (designing, deploying, and maintaining services)
