The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled MongoDB Engineer to join a growing infrastructure and reliability engineering team. You'll play a key role in building, automating, and maintaining critical data platforms that underpin large-scale, high-performance systems.
This position suits someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, and database technologies - ensuring reliability, scalability, and security through modern engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that support key applications and data systems.
• Monitor and optimise database and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving incidents or vulnerabilities.
• Automate operational processes using scripting and configuration management tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Implement and maintain secure configurations to protect infrastructure and data from cyber threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver aligned, high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organisation.

Skills and Experience
Essential:

• Hands-on experience with MongoDB in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ansible for database or infrastructure configuration management.
• Exposure to DevOps automation tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of modern reliability and incident response practices.

Desirable:

• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and migration tasks.
• Familiarity with SRE principles and data-driven operational improvement.
