Your Role

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Leverage your strong technical foundation to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Navigate complex environments and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor others to drive innovative engineering products.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements capture to deployment.
• Create technical documentation and design solutions that meet project needs.
• Review and enhance software products for performance and efficiency.
• Apply best practices in software engineering methodologies and processes.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in software development using Ada, with C++ experience preferred.
• Background in software product development in large, complex environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering methodologies and best practices.

About the Combat Management System Software Team

This dynamic team develops and supports complex software systems for the Royal Navy and international clients. We work collaboratively across the software lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of maintainable and high-quality solutions.

Working Conditions

Many roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions. Applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard and may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, depending on the role.
