Bench IT wish to appoint a senior OT Infrastructure Engineer to provide guidance and operational support within a critical Operational Technology environment supporting industrial infrastructure systems. The role will focus on maintaining secure, resilient and compliant OT platforms across multiple datacentres and operational sites, doing so by utilising strong experience across Windows infrastructure, Nutanix platforms, endpoint management and operationally critical environments with an emphasis on resilience, cyber security and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead support of Nutanix virtualisation platforms across multiple datacentres and sites
- Support and maintain Windows Server infrastructure and associated Microsoft services
- Administer and support Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy and SCCM/MECM environments
- Support secure file transfer and boundary protection platforms used within OT environments
- Support operational maintenance and administration of secure transfer technologies including OPSWAT platforms
- Act as a technical escalation point for infrastructure incidents, problems and major outages
- Lead infrastructure patching, vulnerability remediation and lifecycle management activities
- Support operational resilience, backup and disaster recovery capabilities
- Perform infrastructure health monitoring, capacity management and performance optimisation
- Mentor and support junior engineers and operational support teams
- Participate in maintenance windows, on-call support and incident response activities
- Engage with third party vendors and technology partners where required
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments
- Excellent Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy administration skills
- Strong hands-on Nutanix administration and support experience
- Experience supporting enterprise virtualisation and physical server infrastructure
- SCCM/MECM administration experience within an on-premises environment
- Experience supporting high-availability and operationally-critical systems
- Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening
- Experience working within regulated or security-sensitive environments
