Pre-Sales Engineer/Solutions Engineer - Remote (with travel)

Our client is a multi-award winning network security and vulnerability management consultancy, who are on an exciting growth journey, and have a vacancy for a highly skilled Pre-Sales Engineer.

Role

Using your deep knowledge and expertise in networking and cyber security you will play a critical role in supporting the sales process by providing technical leadership, solution design and subject matter expertise, to customers.

The role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. You will be a trusted advisor to customers, helping them understand how solutions can meet their business, compliance and security objectives.

This is a remote role however there is the requirement to for global travel to customer and partner locations, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Deep knowledge of core networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN's, SD-WAN etc)
  • Hands-on familiarity with leading security solutions and platforms (eg: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, CheckPoint, CrowdStrike etc)
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, tools, standards (eg: ISO 27001, NST, CIS controls, Zero Trust architecture)
  • Act as a technical SME for the solutions offered, understanding their architecture and capabilities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop proposals and respond to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs
  • Lead and support customer Proof of Concept and Proof of Value engagements, including solution configuration, testing and validation
  • Conduct customised product demonstrations, run workshops, webinars or in person training
  • Develop standardised documentation framework to support pre-sale to post-sale transition
  • Create streamlined workflows
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of emerging technologies, threat landscapes, competitor activity, and industry trends in networking and cyber security

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a pre-sales engineer,, solutions architect, or similar technical consultancy roles within cyber security/networking
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills
  • Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Self motivated, able to work independently or in a team
  • Ability to produce high quality technical documentation and architecture diagrams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT preferred
  • Desirable - CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, NSE etc
