Software Development Technical Lead - Digital & Cloud Implementation

We have exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead specialising in Digital & Cloud Implementation to join our utilities client on a permanent basis. This role is hybrid working where you must be willing to travel to their Bradford office 2 - 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Architecture

• Shape and influence technology roadmaps within your discipline
• Own and evolve technical design standards and engineering specifications
• Drive best practice adoption across cloud-based development

Security & Compliance

• Ensure cyber security risks are mitigated across digital solutions
• Support ISO27001 and PCI compliance where applicable
• Contribute to contingency and security planning aligned with business continuity

Performance & Operations

• Lead investigations into performance issues and failures
• Ensure smooth transition of technologies into operational environments
• Adhere to quality management and change control procedures

Project Leadership

• Serve as technical lead for large-scale digital projects
• Define and sign off technical solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural principles
• Ensure non-functional requirements and operational procedures are Embedded
• Conduct technical audits and manage risks throughout the delivery life cycle

Partner & Vendor Management

• Identify and manage technology partners to ensure value for money
• Collaborate with partners to enhance services, reduce costs, and build resilience

Skills Development & Innovation

• Coach and mentor colleagues within your technology space
• Support succession planning and skills development
• Champion innovation and explore emerging technologies

• Expert-level experience in cloud-based software development
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, service continuity, and IT security
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery in complex environments
