Senior Software Engineer

Globally known Financial Services organisation that specialise in Investment Data are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for their Edinburgh division - Fully remote or Hybrid working on offer, and opportunity to work with some really modern tech!

They've been operating very successfully now for over 30 years and are considered market leaders within their field - they've got offices throughout the globe and have recently set-up shop in Edinburgh, they've got big expansion plans for the base over the next few years.

They've already got an Edinburgh-based squad of experienced techies working on a key product for the organisation, but they're looking to really grow this function over the next few years and they'll look after a series of products for the organisation.

The work could be quite varied within the role - their Engineering Manager has really big plans for a lot of their current products, which involves a whole re-architecture and development of several (already started this for one), in addition to the multiple greenfield projects they've got in the pipeline.

You'll find yourself working across the full-stack here, so are ideally looking for Engineers that feel comfortable with both back-end and front-end technologies. In addition to this, you'll be working actively with Azure, so are ideally looking for someone that feels confident using this and it's services.

You'll ideally have experience with most of the following;

** .Net; C#, ASP.Net MVC, .Net Core and Web API's.

** SQL / NoSQL

** HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ideally Angular, ReactJS or VueJS)

** Azure

Experience with the following is highly desirable;

** Microservices

** DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraforms)

** Working within a financial / regulated environment

They're based in Edinburgh city centre, just walking distance from Waverly Station - however they're set up to accommodate both fully remote (from within the UK) and hybrid working. They would prefer to people to pop in for the big meetings on occasion - but do have some flex with this. They've got a really good culture and support collaborative working - so Engineers that enjoy this style of working will get on really well here.

In return they're able to offer salaries from £60k to £80k + benefits (8% Pension, Bonus + Much more). In addition, they're able to help Engineers upskill in some really modern technologies - you'll also be actively encouraged to help come up with new ideas / introduce new technologies that will maximise the performance of their products (you will be listened to here).
