Finance Director

Cedar is partnering with a global, PE-backed SaaS business to appoint a Finance Director as its number one in finance.

This is a broad leadership role within a scaling international business, combining commercial decision support with ownership of global finance operations. You will build a finance function that supports growth, delivers clear insight and uses technology to improve how the business operates.

Candidates must have worked within a SaaS business in their current or most recent role.

The role

  • Lead the global finance function, taking responsibility for financial operations, reporting, FP&A, tax, treasury and payroll.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, translating performance into clear recommendations for senior leadership and PE stakeholders.
  • Develop reporting around SaaS metrics, including ARR, recurring revenue growth, churn, retention and customer economics.
  • Strengthen cash flow forecasting, working capital management and financial controls across international operations.
  • Oversee HR operations and payroll, ensuring effective processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead systems and process improvements, championing AI and automation to increase efficiency, accuracy and visibility.
  • Build and develop the finance team as the business scales.

Your background

  • A qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience in an international SaaS business.
  • Your current or most recent role must be within SaaS, with a strong understanding of subscription revenue models and their commercial drivers.
  • Experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance or equivalent, with the ability to operate as the most senior finance professional in the business.
  • A track record of supporting a scale-up environment, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Strong experience across global finance operations, FP&A, tax, treasury and payroll.
  • Confidence working with senior leadership and investors; PE-backed experience would be particularly valuable.
  • A practical interest in AI, automation and connected finance systems. Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Ramp or Rippling would be advantageous.

This is an opportunity to shape the finance function of a global SaaS business and play a central role in its next phase of growth.
