Lead Solution Architect

In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead in crafting the architectural blueprint and long-term roadmap that brings our strategic vision to life. You’ll design and implement innovative, robust solutions that align with our core architectural principles, ensuring every system we build supports a smarter, more connected Chambers. Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible to coordinating, contributing and managing the architectural blueprint and roadmap for Chambers, in line with the business, technology and product vision and strategy
  • Accountable for designing solutions that meet people, process and technology needs and provide a route from the As-Is to the To-Be.
  • Accountable for defining and maintaining architectural principles, ensuring these are adhered to
  • Accountable for ensuring the as is technology landscape is fully understood, documented, and any risks managed
  • Accountable for producing quality, clear and consistent outputs that are required through all the phases of a delivery.
  • Agree and set the technical direction for the technology landscape and solutions, for the short and long term, in collaboration with delivery and engineering teams
  • Accountable for ensuring architecture solutions throughout the project or product life-cycle, are delivered effectively, and to agreed technical standards.
  • Accountable for ensuring stakeholders, technology teams, third parties and vendors, are aligned to the architectural vision.
  • Empower great engineering through collaborative design and building of solutions as one technical team.
  • Identify and assess emerging trends, technologies and competitor/sector offerings, building into the product roadmap and backlog as required
  • Identify, select and manage 3rd party solution providers from a technical perspective
  • Guide, influence and challenge the technology teams and stakeholders to understand the benefits, pros and cons of solution options.
  • Design and architecture solutions working closely with engineers from the inception through to delivery and release.
Skills and Experience
  • Vast technical experience and exposure to numerous tech stacks including Microsoft
  • Significant experience as a solution/enterprise architect in a consumer facing industry, with in depth experience in at least 4 of the following areas:
    • Solution Architecture (must)
    • Data Architecture
    • Application Architecture (must)
    • Technical Architecture
    • Infrastructure Architecture
    • Security Architecture
    • Enterprise Architecture (must)
  • Able to design a range of architectural solutions, with experience/knowledge in a number of the following:
    • Robust scalable web, mobile and tablet solutions for consumers.
    • Integration between back office solutions such as CRM, CMS and analytics.
    • Subscription and payment solutions
    • Platforms that can be reused by multiple products.
    • Data applications, workflows and landscapes, inc ML and AI technologies
    • Service-oriented and message-oriented integration.
    • Editorial content production applications and workflows
  • Worked through the entire technology delivery lifecycle from inception to release and maintenance.
  • Developed Architecture in agile/iterative environments with experience of methodologies such as SCRUM, RUP, Lean and DSDM.Skilled and structured in software and systems architecture with knowledge of UML, logical, physical, data modelling and pattern-based architecture design techniques.
