Senior Network Engineer - Linux SRE - London

About the role

Be the senior network engineer anchoring the growing global networks capability of a leading alternative investment manager, owning connectivity and resilience for a latency-sensitive, 24x7 trading environment.

What you'll do

• Own network operations and change across the firm's sites and cloud
• Lead on resilience, low-latency connectivity and incident response for trading-critical paths
• Drive automation of network configuration, monitoring and validation
• Partner with teams in other regions on global standards and follow-the-Sun coverage
• Mentor engineers as the wider team grows

What you'll bring

• 7+ years in enterprise or data-centre networking, ideally in trading or another latency-sensitive setting
• Deep routing and switching (BGP, OSPF), Firewalls (Palo Alto) and secure web (Zscaler)
• Network automation (Python, Ansible) and monitoring
• A calm, rigorous approach to operating trading-critical infrastructure

Nice to have

• Cloud networking (AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
• Multicast and market-data networking
• Follow-the-Sun experience

Core skills: BGP/OSPF, Palo Alto, Zscaler, AWS networking, Python/Ansible
