Data Engineering Tech Lead - AI - Urgent!

Cloud Consulting have an urgent requirement for an experienced Data Engineering Tech Lead to work on a high-profile project for a leading company.

The role is inside of IR35, and is a hybrid working pattern - 1 day p/week on-site London, and 4 days remote.

Scope of role:

Solution Design & Development

- Design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions within Snowflake.
- Build and optimise enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines supporting business-critical reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and implement robust data models, including dimensional, analytical and operational reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain reusable transformation frameworks using dbt.
- Develop Python-based data processing, automation and integration solutions.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical design standards.
- Support platform modernisation and migration initiatives from Legacy technologies to cloud-based platforms.

Data Engineering & Optimisation

- Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from a wide variety of source systems.
- Optimise Snowflake databases, queries and workloads to improve performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Implement data quality controls and monitoring capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and performance-related issues.

- Shape reusable patterns that improve delivery speed, quality and maintainability

- Apply strong AWS software or data engineering experience, ideally with Snowflake

- Have experience of applying AI to accelerate engineering delivery
