Azure Architect
Azure Architect – Remote – Up to £85,000
I’m working with a large, Microsoft-first enterprise organisation that’s investing heavily in the modernisation of its Azure platform and wider cloud capability.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an Azure Architect who wants more than just design work.
You’ll be joining a central Cloud Centre of Excellence style function, acting like an internal consultancy across multiple business units. The team is responsible for shaping, improving and delivering Azure solutions across a complex UK technology estate.
The business is fully committed to Microsoft.
Azure sits at the heart of their cloud strategy, with broader investment across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics, Copilot and modern platform services.
They’re looking for someone who brings real breadth across Azure, not just one narrow specialism.
You might come from a background spanning:
- Azure architecture and solution design
- Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Landing Zones
- Azure infrastructure, networking, governance and security
- DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
- SecOps, CloudOps or platform engineering
- Project delivery across migrations, modernisation or greenfield builds
You’ll need to be comfortable working across high-level design, low-level design, stakeholder conversations and hands-on delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing Azure solutions across a varied enterprise environment
- Supporting the evolution of Azure Landing Zones and platform standards
- Working with internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical cloud solutions
- Applying Microsoft best practice across CAF, governance, security, scalability and cost
- Collaborating with engineers, architects and business stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery from design through to implementation
- Helping shape how cloud services are delivered across the organisation
What they’re looking for
- Strong Azure architecture experience
- Good understanding of CAF, Azure Landing Zones and Well-Architected principles
- Experience across Azure infrastructure and PaaS services
- Exposure to DevOps, IaC, CI/CD or platform engineering
- Awareness of cloud security, governance and operational best practice
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Someone who can think strategically but still understands delivery realities
Experience with Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions would be highly relevant, but the key thing is breadth, ownership and the ability to explain the “why” behind your design decisions.
Why this one is interesting
You’ll be joining a business with genuine investment behind Microsoft cloud, strong internal technical leadership and direct access to Microsoft-aligned expertise.
It’s a great fit for someone who wants to work in a large-scale Azure environment, influence platform direction and get involved in meaningful cloud transformation rather than just maintaining the status quo.
Interested? Drop me a message and I’ll share more details.
