IT Director
Role: IT Director Location: Salford - Site based five days a week Salary: £75,000 to £80,000 Benefits: Pension, Car/Car Allowance, Bonus
A unique opportunity has arisen for a strategic and hands-on IT Director to join a growing group of SME's and play a pivotal role in shaping its technology roadmap.
They are a family owned and run business with a supportive style of management that has resulted with a very low staff turnover and a great culture.
About the Role
As IT Director, you will lead the development and execution of the organisation's IT strategy, ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and processes are robust, secure, and future-ready. This role will involve building and managing a small, team comprising infrastructure and development, while championing innovation working closely with the board and the group companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of the organisation's IT and digital strategy.
- Recruit, manage and develop a small team, growing and developing their skills and accountability.
- Oversee infrastructure, development, communications, project management, and systems support.
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with regulations.
- Identify and implement innovative technology solutions and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Deliver transformation initiatives aligned with company-wide objectives.
- Maintain ISO27001 certification.
- Manage relationships with external service providers.
What We're Looking For
- We would expect you to have at least five years' experience in an IT leadership role, ideally within an SME environment.
- This is a hands-on role so we would look for you to be proficient in Microsoft OS, Azure/M365, SQL, VMware as well as have some networking knowledge.
- Any experience of leading developers with C#/SQL experience would be very welcome
- On top of this we are looking for strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities with a track record in delivering change and transformation projects.
- You will need to be commutable to Salford as this role is site based, five days a week.
