The Opportunity
As a Senior Telecoms Systems Engineer, you'll be trusted to provide technical leadership across a range of high-profile communications projects.
You'll be involved in:
- Leading technically complex engineering projects
- Designing end-to-end communications solutions
- Supporting the development of advanced satellite and terrestrial networks
- Leading collaborative programmes involving external stakeholders
- Defining system architectures and technical approaches
- Supporting technology strategy and innovation initiatives
- Contributing to bids, proposals and future opportunities
- Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers
You'll have significant influence over technical direction, project outcomes and the future evolution of communications technologies.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced communications engineer with a strong background in telecommunications, satellite communications or network systems engineering.
Experience in several of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Satellite communications systems
- End-to-end cellular networks
- 4G, 5G and future mobile network technologies
- Network architecture and systems design
- Core networks
- Systems engineering and integration
- Linux and software-enabled communications systems
- Technical leadership of complex projects
- Stakeholder engagement and customer-facing delivery
- Bid development and collaborative R&D programmes

Location & Travel: This position involves travel to engineering facilities, partner organisations and project sites. As some locations are not readily accessible by public transport, applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling as required.
