About the Role

We’re working with an AI start-up that’s building innovative products, combining technology, automation, and intelligent systems to simplify complex processes.

They’re looking for a Principal Engineer with strong Python skills and experience delivering modern, cloud-based applications. You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team where you’ll have real influence over technical decisions and product direction.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build Python-based applications that power new products.
• Work with LLMs and other AI tools to enhance document understanding, search, and workflow automation.
• Develop and deploy solutions using Azure cloud services, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product and legal domain experts to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Bring a start-up mindset — iterate quickly, test ideas, and ship production-quality code.

About You

• Proven experience working in a start-up or fast-paced product environment, ideally in an early-stage business.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building production-grade applications or APIs.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) — prompt design, evaluation, or integration.
• Experience working with Azure (Functions, App Services, Cognitive Search, or AI Studio).
• Collaborative and proactive, with a passion for building products that have real impact.
