This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Services team at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust and play a leading role in delivering our emerging technology and digital innovation agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Emerging Technology, the Senior Project Manager - Emerging Technology will support the strategic vision and delivery priorities set out in the Croydon Health Services NHS Trust Digital Strategy and AI Strategy. The postholder will translate these strategic ambitions into well-governed, practical projects that improve patient care, staff experience and the way our services operate.

You will lead the delivery of complex projects across a portfolio that may include artificial intelligence, automation, remote monitoring, digital therapeutics, wearables, interoperability, patient-facing digital services and data-enabled models of care.

Working with clinical, operational, corporate and technical colleagues, you will manage projects from discovery and business-case development through procurement, implementation, transition into business as usual and post-implementation review.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised project professional who can turn the Trust's Digital and AI Strategies into clear, achievable delivery plans.

You will work closely with teams across the Trust and with partners across South West London, as well as suppliers, academic institutions and other external organisations.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing complex projects in a large organisation and a strong record of delivering digital, technology, service improvement or transformation initiatives. You will bring excellent planning, communication, analytical, influencing and stakeholder-management skills, together with experience of governance, supplier management, budgets, business cases, risks and benefits realisation.

Experience of working within the NHS or a comparable health and care environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, automation, digital therapeutics, remote monitoring, wearables and interoperability.

Above all, you will share our commitment to delivering change that is professional, compassionate, respectful, safe and inclusive, with a clear focus on improving care for the people of Croydon.

Join us and help shape the safe, responsible and effective use of emerging technology across Croydon's health services. #choosecroydon
