Hybrid - 4 days on-site p/w as a contractor, 3 days once permanent - London

Are you a delivery-led project manager who enjoys running several infrastructure projects at once and seeing each one through end to end? This Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager role with a leading financial services organisation in London starts as a contract initially running to 31 July 2027, with the expectation of moving to a permanent position before then.
You'll manage four to seven infrastructure projects at a time, from business case through to handover into support. Starting on contract means you can join quickly while permanent onboarding completes, and the aim is for the right person to stay long term.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing four to seven infrastructure projects at the same time, from business case to delivery and handover
- Owning plans, budgets, risks, issues and reporting for each project
- Working with technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to keep delivery on track
- Taking projects through formal governance and change control, including supplier and audit requirements
- Handing completed work over to service management and BAU support teams
- Reporting progress and risks to senior stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a strong infrastructure background
- A delivery-led project manager profile rather than a technical specialist one
- A track record of long tenures and projects delivered end to end
- A genuine interest in moving to a permanent role after the initial contract
- Notice period of up to four weeks
Desirable: exposure to service management, Prince2 or PMP, supplier management, financial services or other regulated environments
