We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Senior Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in the development of the Choose Pharmacy Application.
In this role, you will lead on delivering robust business analysis and strategic insights to senior leaders, key partners, and stakeholders. Your strong communication and organisational skills will be essential in ensuring the application meets user needs, stakeholder expectations, and broader organisational goals.
You will work closely with the Lead Product Owner, User-Centric Design team, and fellow analysts to interpret and translate requirements and design concepts into clear, actionable user stories for the development team. Your ability to understand and articulate key design elements and functionality will be critical to the success of the product.
Post-release, you will conduct detailed analysis to validate that features meet their intended requirements and demonstrate the value and benefits delivered to users and the organisation.
Main duties of the job

Lead business analysis activities to support the successful development and delivery of the Choose Pharmacy application.

Collaborate with stakeholders and users to gather and translate business and user requirements into clear, actionable User Stories for the development team.

Apply DHCW's Benefits Realisation Framework to plan, track, and evaluate the benefits of new features and functionality, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Review and improve business processes, identifying financial, operational, and technological risks, and recommending evidence-based solutions.

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, using inclusive communication and influencing skills to ensure shared understanding and alignment across teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Educated to Masters level (or equivalent qualification / experience)
- Practitioner of Agile working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Working knowledge of the NHS or the Health sector
- Understanding and knowledge of health service terminology and information requirements
- Awareness of DHCW and how it supports the NHS
Experience
- Experience of consulting activities and techniques including facilitating stakeholder groups.
- Experience of process analysis, assessment and change including financial, cultural, technological, organisational and environmental factors. Further experience of establishing customer requirements and identifying how these map to process requirements.
- Substantial experience of working on digital products and services with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage stakeholders, communicate complex information, and negotiate successful outcomes with senior personnel.
- Highly experienced in influencing and negotiation skills including critical questioning and innovative thinking.
- Experience of reviewing compliance with legislation and organisational/government policy.
- Experience of benefits management and realisation.
- Experience of evaluating the quality of project outputs against agreed acceptance criteria.
- Experience of assessing, analysing, developing, documenting and implementing changes based on requests for change.
