Digital Monitoring Technician
Working closely with the Senior Engineer and wider team, you will monitor equipment remotely, advise customers on system performance, identify fixes, and support with site setup queries. You’ll also assist with equipment safety checks, system updates, and accurate processing of hire information. This is a varied and fast-paced role where strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
Location: near Shirebrook, NG20 Salary: £27,000 per annum Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm (fully office-based)Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line digital support for enquiries
- Handle customer calls, offering clear advice and guidance
- Identify and action basic fixes where appropriate
- Support customers with site setups and product efficiencies
- Liaise with engineering and internal teams to resolve issues
- Report trends, insights, and proactive solutions
- Ensure all hired equipment is safe and compliant with company procedures
- Process hire/off-hire and stock transfer information accurately
- Maintain knowledge of all products and attend ongoing training
About you
- Experience in customer support, technical support, or similar environments
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Digitally confident with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Engineering background or technical understanding
