About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Computing Teacher to join our thriving primary school from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, developing their confidence, creativity and understanding of technology in an increasingly digital world.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and age-appropriate Computing lessons, helping pupils develop skills in coding, digital literacy, computational thinking, online safety and digital creativity. They will also play an important role in supporting colleagues with the effective integration of technology across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Teach coding, programming, computational thinking and digital literacy.
  • Promote safe, responsible and effective use of technology.
  • Inspire pupils through creative and practical learning experiences.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Support the development of the school's Computing curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, enrichment activities and school events.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil success.
The Successful Candidate Will Have Essential:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Computing or Computer Science.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
  • Experience teaching in a primary or prep school setting.
  • Knowledge of coding platforms such as Scratch, Python or Micro.
  • Experience with robotics, STEM initiatives or educational technology.
  • Experience leading extra-curricular Computing or Coding Clubs.
