Mandarin-speaking Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant (Contract)

Location: On-site, London Rate: £20–£28 per hour (depending on experience)Duration: 6 months with potential for extension Start: Immediate

A global organisation is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant for a 6-month, full-time, on-site contract role in London.

The role involves reviewing and improving existing infrastructure, procedures, and configurations, as well as proposing a redesigned architecture to meet current operational and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and document existing infrastructure architecture
• Improve system configuration, user setup, policies, and BAU procedures
• Provide automation scripts where needed
• Propose a new infrastructure design, including hardware and software requirements
• Deliver comprehensive documentation and diagrams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience with VMware vSphere 7 and virtualisation technologies
• Advanced understanding of server architecture, VMware, and VDI
• VMware Horizon or vSphere certifications preferred
• Experience with networking, Windows Server, Active Directory, storage management, data backup, and information security
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or MCSE preferred
• Experience with SQL Server administration and scripting
• Proficiency in Visual Basic and Excel Macros
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
• Excellent communication skills
