Commercial Lead

A rapidly scaling semiconductor company is seeking an experienced commercial leader to oversee and elevate all customer-facing operations. They are looking for someone with not only exceptional capability, but also an exceptional mindset—someone driven to go above and beyond to strengthen their breakthrough product offering and support their high-performing team.

In this role you would deliver strategic commercial leadership across the organisation. This includes guiding pricing, contracts, terms & conditions, and commercial strategy for both hardware and software products, ensuring compliance, consistency, and alignment with business objectives across global markets.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Commercial Strategy: Proven background in commercial or business development roles within technology, cybersecurity, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Pricing & Business Models: Strong expertise in developing pricing strategies for hardware/software solutions, including subscription, licensing, and managed service models.
  • Contract Management: Deep understanding of commercial contracts, T&Cs, and negotiations, with the ability to collaborate closely with legal teams to shape effective agreements.
  • Stakeholder Advisory: Experience supporting executive leadership, product teams, and sales teams with informed commercial guidance.
  • Geographical Awareness: Solid knowledge of UK commercial regulations and market practices, with the ability to advise on international requirements and regional variations.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Confident working with financial models, forecasting, margin analysis, and cost structures to guide strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with legal, finance, sales, and product teams to ensure successful implementation of commercial strategies.

Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Experience working with government, defence, or critical infrastructure contracts, including familiarity with SC/DV clearance environments.
  • Understanding of international contracting frameworks and regional commercial regulations.
  • Prior involvement in joint ventures, strategic partnerships, or alliance structures.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and commercial governance within regulated sectors.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent commercial/business certifications.
  • Experience with RFI/RFP processes and tender management within technology or secure infrastructure industries.
