Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Milton Keynes (1 day per month onsite, with additional onsite attendance during onboarding)
Contract: Until End of Year
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced . NET / React Developer to join a team delivering the next generation of cloud-hosted financial platforms.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on both greenfield and existing applications, helping to modernise core business systems using cloud-native technologies, modern engineering practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.
Previous experience within Financial Services, Banking, Consumer Finance, Insurance, or other highly regulated environments is essential.
The Role
As part of a Scrum team, you'll contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of business-critical applications. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll help shape technical solutions and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET Core.
- Strong front-end development experience using React.
- Strong experience with TypeScript.
- Previous experience within Financial Services, Banking, Consumer Finance, Insurance, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong understanding of Git and source control best practices.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Desirable Skills
- Cloud-native application development.
- Experience working on customer-facing digital platforms.
- Experience modernising legacy applications and platforms.
Engineering Principles
You'll have experience working with modern software engineering practices, including:
- SOLID Principles
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- RESTful Architecture
- Agile/Scrum Delivery
- CI/CD Automation
- DevOps Culture and Practices
