Platform Engineer

Hybrid in Edinburgh

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

I'm hiring for one of the most forward thinking engineering teams in the legal tech space. This is a chance to join a high capability product engineering environment where you'll lead large feature builds, shape engineering strategy, and get hands on with real AI workflow expansion used daily by global clients.

You'll be working across distributed systems, multi tenant SaaS, Python, Typescript, AWS serverless and modern AI tooling like vector search, knowledge graphs, and MLOps pipelines. A genuinely exciting role for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and driving technical standards.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the design and delivery of medium to large features and projects

• Partnering closely with Product and Design to shape roadmaps and technical direction

• Driving engineering quality across squads and mentoring others

• Helping bring AI powered capabilities across the wider platform

What you need

• Strong background in distributed systems and SaaS architecture

• Python and Typescript experience (Java or Go is a bonus)

• Experience with vector databases, knowledge graphs or GraphRAG

• Understanding of modern Gen AI, LLM architecture and MLOps

• AWS serverless / DevOps experience

• Someone who enjoys ownership and influencing technical direction
