Delivery Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of the Service Workstream within the Blended Experience Programme in the technology sector. This contract role focuses on ensuring all technology can be efficiently and effectively supported in Business As Usual (BAU). The Delivery Manager is required to create and manage service build activities, ensuring prioritisation, timely delivery, and preparedness for testing phases. Coordination and facilitation of the service testing phase will also be a key element of this role, involving collaboration with multiple support teams as defined in the Service Designs.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of the Service Workstream across Service Design, Service Build, Service Test, and Service Transition, ensuring all services are accepted into BAU support.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Tool Utilisation: Own the Service Workstream delivery plan within Jira, overseeing work delivery and progress tracking.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact between delivery teams, product owners, platform owners, and operational teams.
- RAIDD Management: Support the workstream in identifying and managing risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and dependencies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Reporting & Metrics: Provide fortnightly status reports in line with PMO governance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Agile Delivery Expertise: Experience in managing projects using Agile frameworks.
- Service Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITIL principles and support models.
- Jira Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Jira for planning, backlog management, reporting, and RAIDD management.
- Risk Management: Strong capability in defining and proactively managing risks.
- Operational Focus: Demonstrated success delivering projects that transition smoothly into BAU environments.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative communication skills.
- Technical Awareness: Understanding of software development, infrastructure, and IT operations.
Desirable Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
