Finance Systems Specialist

We are delighted to be working with a growing business systems consultancy who are looking to recruit a Finance Systems specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of customer implementations from initial design and configuration through to testing, training and go-live. Working with a range of established organisations, you’ll act as the lead consultant and main customer contact, helping businesses get the most from their finance systems through effective implementation, best-practice guidance and ongoing optimisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead customer implementations from initial requirements gathering and solution design through to configuration and go-live.
• Configure finance systems to meet customer requirements, including system builds and data migration.
• Work closely with customers to understand their finance processes and translate these into practical system solutions.
• Act as the main point of contact throughout implementation projects, building strong customer relationships.
• Deliver workshops, system walkthroughs and solution reviews to ensure requirements are understood and agreed.
• Work alongside Project Managers and technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered effectively and to schedule.
• Develop test plans and support customers through system testing and user acceptance testing.
• Deliver user training and provide guidance to support adoption and a smooth transition to the new system.
• Support the development of financial reports and system enquiries to meet customer reporting requirements.
• Provide post-implementation support, identifying issues and opportunities to improve system performance and functionality.
• Offer best-practice advice on accounting processes, system usage and business systems integration.

I'm looking to speak to people who have a strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including month-end, VAT and financial reporting, alongside experience implementing or supporting SaaS finance systems, ERP or accounting software.

This is not just a system configuration role. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of customer engagements, influence how finance systems are implemented and act as a trusted advisor both during delivery and beyond go-live.
