IT Technician

We are looking to engage an IT Technician on a permanent basis. You should have prior general IT support experience (inc. the building of PC hardware) and will be based at our Stockport office supporting as first line our user base of 200+ people across the UK and Ireland. As this role is primarily office based , we are looking for applications from the wider Manchester/Cheshire area.
- A NVQ Level 2 in IT or general computing.
- Prior experience with IT support.
- Prior experience with business administration.
- Effective communication skills.
- A responsive and enthusiastic personality.
- Routinely respects and understands data confidentiality and corporate IT security.
- Shows a commitment to their own continued learning and development.
The role will involve:
- Installing and removing software.
- Assist with the procurement of IT hardware and software.
- Basic technical troubleshooting for all IT users in the UK and Ireland including our remote and construction site-based colleagues.
- Assist with the configuration of new laptops and mobile phones.
- Assist in maintaining IT records.
- Assist with system maintenance and testing.
- Any other reasonable IT tasks.
