AI Solutions Engineer
Join our London team as a Solutions Engineer building AI automation for billion-pound real estate firms.
A week in the life of our London Solutions Engineer
Monday: Implementing a lease extraction skill for a major UK property fund, helping them adapt proven patterns to their specific data definitions. You spot an edge case we don't yet support and request a feature update.
Tuesday: Running evaluations on three customer implementations. One's underperforming - you analyse failure patterns, identify it's a context window issue with their documents, escalate with diagnostic details and propose prompt restructuring.
Wednesday: Engineering shipped external knowledge base integration. You're building training content, identifying which accounts need this capability first, designing rollout plans tailored to their data structures.
Thursday: A customer's data dictionary produces inconsistent extractions. You recognise this pattern from another account - their schema needs restructuring. You apply the fix, document both cases, and update the customer with good news.
Friday: Building prompt libraries for two new accounts ahead of onboarding. You're adapting proven patterns but notice their document hierarchy requires a different context organisation approach - you capture this insight and agree an approach with the team.
This is hands-on AI implementation at Fifth Dimension. Optimising with customers daily. Learning what works. Making our platform better through systematic pattern recognition.
About us
Fifth Dimension is bringing vibe working to document-heavy industries . Today we work with real estate businesses in the UK and US, automating complex tasks, extracting valuable insights from documents, and empowering professionals to focus on high-impact work. Our AI workspace transforms how large investment managers and developers handle leases, development documents, and investment decisions.
We're a London and New York based startup with ample runway, backed by Tier 1 European and American investors. Our founders, Johnny Morris and Dr. Kate Jarvis, bring a powerful blend of expertise (and spice ): Johnny has 18+ years applying data and analytics to real estate, while Kate holds a Stanford PhD and 12 years of executive experience across Silicon Valley and London startups.
At Fifth Dimension, we're demanding yet encouraging, valuing experimentation and kind challenges. Our company values - Own It, Ship It, and Don't Be Boring - drive us to deliver exceptional results whilst fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll implement and optimise AI automation for enterprise customers across the UK.
Day to day:
- Implement and optimise - Build customer prompt libraries and skills using proven patterns; structure data and context for AI consumption; iterate based on performance
- Define evaluations - Build evals, analyse results for failure patterns, identify root causes (prompt issues, data structure problems, context gaps)
- Surface patterns and gaps - Document what's novel across implementations; escalate product limitations with context and customer impact
- Drive feature adoption - Translate new platform capabilities into customer value through training content and implementation plans
- Technical triage - Debug customer issues systematically; resolve directly when possible, escalate with full diagnostic context when needed
- Maintain and improve - Keep prompt libraries optimised as platform evolves; update data structures when customer needs change
What we're looking for
You've implemented AI solutions in production and know how to optimise for quality. You design effective prompts, structure data for AI consumption, and run evaluations to measure what's working. When things break or underperform, you troubleshoot systematically.
You bring:
- 1-3 years hands-on with AI/LLMs - you've built prompt templates, automated workflows with AI tools, or helped customers implement AI features in production
- Organised data for AI - you've structured spreadsheets, built taxonomies, or created knowledge bases that AI systems can actually parse and use effectively
- Tested systematically - you've compared outputs across different prompts, tracked what works vs what doesn't, A/B tested approaches to improve results
- Delivered to customers - you've helped customers set up workflows, trained teams on AI tools, or solved implementation problems with measurable success
- Debugged AI outputs - when results were wrong, you figured out why (prompt needed fixing, data was messy, context was missing) and corrected it
- Built from patterns - you noticed what worked across cases, created templates or playbooks, and reused proven approaches rather than starting from scratch each time
- London-based or willing to visit the London office at least once per week
Bonus points:
- Real estate, financial services, or legal industry exposure
- Created templates/documentation that others used successfully
- Basic coding ability (Python, JavaScript) for scripting
- Experience at AI-first companies in customer-facing roles
