Senior Observability Engineer

Our consultancy client are looking for an experience senior observability engineer to build and implement a modern observability capability for a financial services client of theirs. You will consolidating fragmented monitoring and providing actionable insight across applications, infrastructure, security and operations.

You will build and configure an enterprise observability stack using Grafana, Prometheus and OpenSearch and implement metrics collection, log aggregation, dashboards and alerting across applications and infrastructure. Integrate observability with security tooling, surfacing vulnerabilities, scan status and deployment information alongside operational metrics. You will integrate data from the CMDB and other enterprise systems including RTO/RPO and application context as well as build business and application focussed dashboards moving beyond traditional infrastructure monitoring. Configure authentication and SSO using Microsoft Entra ID and support observability across Azure/Kubernetes and wider cloud/application environments. You will establish the initial platform and onboard the first applications, creating reusable patterns for wider adoption.

You must have extensive hands on experience with Grafana and Prometheus as well as with OpenSearch or equivalent enterprise log aggregation platforms. As well as having experience deploying and operating observability tooling in Kubernetes/cloud environments and integrating multiple telemetry and operational data sources.

In a nut Shell you will be highly experienced hands on observability engineer who can take an agreed strategy and build the capability end to end including Grafana configuration, Prometheus integration and application onboarding.

The role will need you to be on site 1-2 days a week and will be inside IR35
