Senior AI Engineer (LLM / Azure) - Contract
We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a high-profile programme delivering AI-driven solutions using Python, Azure OpenAI, and LLMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance LLM-powered document extraction pipelines.
- Develop solutions for PDF processing, OCR, entity matching, and structured data extraction.
- Improve accuracy through testing, evaluation, and regression frameworks.
- Scale services using Azure, FastAPI, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to drive technical decisions.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years' software engineering experience.
- 2+ years working with LLMs and Generative AI solutions.
- Strong Python and FastAPI development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure cloud services.
- Experience processing and extracting data from complex documents.
- Strong testing and CI/CD experience.

- Energy sector or Public Sector experience
- Terraform and Cosmos DB
