We are hiring for Software Engineer at Northampton, UK - 2-3 days per week Onsite

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering across the design and delivery of modern cloud-native full-stack applications. The role involves defining technical direction, driving Front End and full-stack engineering best practices, and delivering scalable, secure, and resilient solutions. The engineer will also be expected to have hands-on experience with Camunda for workflow/process orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of full-stack, cloud-native applications.
• Develop and oversee Back End services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Deliver solutions on AWS, with strong hands-on involvement in Front End development using React and implementation of Front End engineering best practices.
• Design, develop, and integrate workflows/process automation using Camunda.
• Build and operate containerized applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Drive engineering standards across Front End and Back End development, software design, testing, CI/CD, security, observability, and resilience.
• Remain hands-on across full-stack development, Camunda, troubleshooting, and solution design.
• Mentor engineers and influence key technical and architectural decisions.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity.

Essential Skills

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, React and AWS.
• Strong React/Front End expertise with a good understanding of Front End architecture, coding standards, testing, performance and engineering best practices.
• Hands-on Camunda development experience, particularly around workflow/process automation and integration.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and software design.
• Proven experience building microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka-based solutions.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, security, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring capability.
