Solution Architect –-Pensions / Legacy Modernisation

Manchester - Hybrid (3 days onsite) - 12-Month Contract

Seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong pensions domain expertise and a background in legacy modernisation and cloud transformation within financial services. You’ll lead end-to-end architecture design across applications, integration, infrastructure, and security, helping transform legacy platforms into scalable microservices-based solutions.

Key experience:

• UK Workplace Pension / Annuity experience
• Legacy platforms / mainframe modernisation
• Cloud hosting & containerised microservices
• .NET MVC, Java, Angular, React
• REST APIs, CI/CD, DevOps & event-driven architecture
• API & application security
• Domain Driven Design & Data Mesh
• Architecture governance, risk & solution assurance
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Agile delivery environments

This is a high-impact transformation role suited to architects comfortable operating across business and engineering teams while shaping modern enterprise solutions.
