MI Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity for a home-based MI Analyst to join us within our MGA business. You will support our continued growth by providing comprehensive MI and Reporting and will ensure that all reporting aligns with our current strategies and future goals, playing a key role in our ongoing success. What You Will Do As An MI Analyst This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following and more.
- Produce reports and analysis summarising the performance of offices, branches and regions.
- Analyse individual business data and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Creating ETL solutions to capture data from multiple sources and map/structure into either QVD files or SQL databases depending on the solution required.
- Optimize SQL server queries to efficiently and quickly retrieve data.
- Development of key transactional reports using SSRS, both data from the PAS and Data Warehouse.
- Creating self-service reporting apps through Power BI.
- Provide ongoing monthly reporting within a timely manner for exec pack production.
- Collate, manage and respond to queries from Senior Stakeholders and Power BI Licence Holders.
- Understand and be able to explain the reporting infrastructure used in the production of Power BI reporting and be able to apply this knowledge to arrive at the desired outcome.
- Interpret MI requirements and produce varying reports depending on the target end user.
- Power BI Experience at a development level
- Experience using the Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio)
- Advanced Excel and Reporting Capabilities
- Knowledge of the general insurance market and general insurance products
- Knowledge of insurance terms and their meaning e.g. Gross Written Premium
- Knowledge of how an insurance broker operates
- Minimum 5 GSCE’S (A-C) or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with MI Reporting and data analysis
