This is a hands-on assignment focused on improving the accuracy, consistency and integrity of employee master data across multiple business units. You will take ownership of a dedicated data cleansing and reconciliation exercise, working closely with local People teams to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and implement corrective actions within Workday.

The role will involve auditing employee records, aligning organisational structures and reconciling data between Workday and local payroll systems, ensuring a reliable foundation for reporting and wider HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive data quality audits across Workday Core HCM, identifying missing information, inconsistencies, duplicates and data anomalies.

  • Reconcile employee master data between Workday and local payroll systems, investigating discrepancies relating to employment status, working hours/FTE, hire and termination dates, legal entities, cost centres and job information.

  • Review and correct supervisory organisations, management hierarchies and reporting lines.

  • Identify and resolve issues relating to job profiles, job families, job levels and grade/band assignments.

  • Investigate inactive and contingent worker records, as well as outstanding or incomplete business processes.

  • Develop and execute data remediation plans, working with local People teams to validate and implement corrections.

  • Carry out bulk data updates using Workday EIBs where appropriate, alongside manual transaction processing.

  • Produce regular progress updates, exception reports and data quality summaries throughout the project.

  • Document recurring data issues, root causes and recommendations to improve ongoing data governance.

  • Produce clear handover documentation and guidance to support the ongoing maintenance of data quality.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience working with Workday Core HCM.

  • Previous experience undertaking Workday data audits, data cleansing, reconciliation and remediation projects.

  • Experience using Workday EIBs to carry out bulk data uploads and corrections.

  • Good understanding of Workday supervisory organisations, reporting hierarchies and organisational structures.

  • Experience reconciling HR master data against external systems, ideally payroll platforms.

  • Strong understanding of employee data, including job profiles, job levels, employment status, FTE and organisational mapping.

  • Confident engaging with senior HR/People stakeholders and local operational teams.

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight project deadlines.
