IT Support Engineer

A credible IT Managed Service Provider is seeking a proactive and personable ICT Managed Service Engineer to join their growing team. You will be based onsite at one of their partner schools in London, delivering hands-on technical support and ensuring the smooth running of IT systems for staff and students.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced educational environment and takes pride in providing high-quality technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to end-user requests and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Monitor, diagnose and fix a range of ICT system issues
  • Carry out day-to-day support tasks such as password resets, printer fixes and user setup
  • Generate reports for customers and update Service Desk tickets
  • Prioritise and escalate incidents where necessary
  • Collaborate with 3rd line engineers to help resolve complex issues
  • Handle hardware support requests, including arranging repairs or replacements
Technical Skills (the more you can demonstrate, the better)
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11 support
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365
  • Experience with application and desktop deployment
  • Printer management and maintenance
  • Setting up and supporting new user accounts
Personal Qualities
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when dealing with users
  • Calm, patient and approachable under pressure
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience working within the education sector is advantageous
Additional Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential due to travel between school sites when required
