D365 F&O Software Engineering Manager - Windsor (Hybrid) - 6 months - Inside IR35
What the role is
This is a technical leadership role for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You'd run the engineering team and own the development, integration, delivery and support of the D365 F&O platform. It combines hands-on technical oversight with people management and governance of delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Engineering leadership: lead and mentor solution architects, developers, technical consultants and integration engineers. Set the engineering standards, coding practices and quality controls.
- Solution design and delivery: own technical delivery of D365 F&O projects and enhancements, review and approve architectures and technical designs, and manage risks, dependencies and delivery schedules.
- Technical oversight: oversee development, Extensions and Electronic Reporting. Manage integrations with Azure services, APIs, Power Platform, Dataverse and third-party systems such as AWS and Salesforce.
- DevOps and release management: drive ALM practices, manage Azure DevOps repos and pipelines, implement CI/CD and automated testing, and govern environment strategy and deployments.
- Stakeholder engagement: work with Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Operations and Business Transformation teams, turn requirements into technical roadmaps, and manage vendors and implementation partners.
- Operational excellence: keep the platform stable and performing well, lead root cause analysis on critical incidents, reduce technical debt and support upgrades.
Must-haves
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Expertise in D365 F&O Extensions, integration services, Azure DevOps, Power Platform and Dataverse
- Experience managing software development teams, including cross-functional and distributed teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- 8+ years in ERP or enterprise application development, including 3+ years managing engineering teams
- Experience delivering large-scale D365 F&O implementations or transformations
- Functional understanding of Finance, P2P, O2C, Subscription Billing, Revenue Recognition and Supply Chain
- Budget and resource management experience
- Agile and DevOps delivery background
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration - 6-Months Contract (extensions likely)
- Location - Windsor (1-2 days per week onsite)
- Rate - Negotiable
