Management Accountant Fast-Growth SaaS / Tech

Management Accountant | Fast-Growth SaaS Scaleup | London / Hybrid

The Client

Harmonic are proud to be working with a post-Series B SaaS scaleup that has raised significant funding from top-tier investors. They're building tools that are transforming the way engineering and tech teams operate, with a product that's seen rapid adoption and praise across the industry. With a collaborative and product-led culture, the business is scaling quickly but thoughtfully, supported by an exceptional leadership team with a strong track record in high-growth environments.

Their offices are based in a buzzing part of London, with a hybrid working culture that values both flexibility and team connection. The role offers the chance to work for a company who are quickly expanding internationally and seen ARR grow significantly, with strong cash reserves to continue growing in their niche.

The Role

We're looking for a sharp and ambitious Management Accountant to join the team and play a key role in supporting the core finance operations. You'll work closely with both the VP of Finance and the Finance Lead, taking responsibility for monthly reporting while also contributing to process improvements as the company scales.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who trained in audit or accountancy practice and has since made their first move into industry (12-18 months ago) and is now looking to step into a more hands-on, high-growth setting that could be career defining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and support on variance analysis and commentary
  • Help build and evolve financial processes and controls, using Xero as the core system
  • Support VAT returns, audit prep, and year-end statutory reporting
  • Work closely with non-finance teams to provide insights and build out financial processes that scale
  • Assist in reporting and financial modelling for board and investor updates
  • Get involved in ad hoc finance projects tied to commercial and operational strategy

What we're looking for (essential):

  • ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Trained in audit/practice (Top30 global practices preffered)
  • 12-18 months of industry experience (ideally in a start-up or scale-up or within a company that have experienced significant growth)
  • Strong technical grounding and attention to detail
  • A proactive mindset and enjoyment for working in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and happy to roll up your sleeves which is a must in the scaleup space.
  • Exposure to Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software

What we'd like to see (non-essential):

  • Experience working in a SaaS or tech business would be beneficial
  • Passion for the start-up environment and a keenness to grow with the company

Package:

  • £65,000 - £75,000 base salary (depending on experience)
  • Share options / Equity
  • Private Health Insurance / Match pension up to 10% / Gym Membership / Generous holiday allowance
  • Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office (Monday & Wednesday required)
  • Generous progression opportunities and high visibility with senior leadership

If you're looking for a hands-on, high-impact finance role in a scaleup where you'll learn fast and grow even faster - we'd love to hear from you.
