Senior Analytics Engineer (SQL & DBT)

Up to £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits Hybrid - London

A global tech business is growing its data function and is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help shape a scalable, modern data environment used across multiple international teams. This is a high-impact role focused on building reliable data platforms, improving data quality, and enabling self-serve analytics across the organisation.

The Role:

• Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines using dbt, moving data from bronze to gold layers.
• Apply Kimball methodologies to deliver clean, scalable data models.
• Implement data quality frameworks and testing strategies.
• Own the design of the semantic layer for BI tools such as Looker or Power BI.
• Promote self-service analytics and data literacy across the business.
• Act as an expert in SQL across technologies like Postgres, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Build and orchestrate pipelines using Airflow.
• Support IaC and CI/CD best practices via GitHub.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and product teams.

About You:

• Strong experience building analytics-focused pipelines.
• Proficient with dbt, SQL, and cloud warehouse technologies.
• Knowledge of Kimball modelling and testing frameworks.
• Experience with Airflow or similar orchestrators.
• Understanding of IaC and CI/CD principles.
• Collaborative and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
