Business Analyst / Product Owner

Product Owner - Pillar Two | Tax Tech SaaS
Surrey, hybrid (one day a week)
I'm partnering with a fast-growing B2B tax technology business to find a Product Owner for its Pillar Two team. Pillar Two is one of the most exciting, fast-moving areas in global tax right now, and this team is right at the centre of it. The business is in serious growth mode and the engineering team has scaled up fast, which means more ideas to shape, more features to own and a real chance to make your mark.
What you'll do

  • You'll report to the Head of Product for Pillar Two and work side by side with developers, UX designers, tax specialists and colleagues across Europe.
  • You'll turn complex, ever-changing regulation into clear user stories and solutions the team can build.
  • You'll help prioritise the backlog and decide what gets built next, with plenty of support from your manager.
  • You'll present your analysis to stakeholders, make a clear case for your recommendations and challenge assumptions along the way.

What you'll bring

  • You'll have experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or in a similar product role, ideally in B2B SaaS. Tax knowledge is a bonus, not a must, and you'll be supported to learn the domain.
  • You'll already be using AI hands-on in your work and be keen to keep evolving with it.
  • You'll speak up and ask "why?", even as the most junior person in the room.
  • You'll present your thinking clearly and enjoy explaining the reasoning behind it.
  • You'll be comfortable with ambiguity. Regulation shifts and priorities change, and you see that as part of the job.
  • You'll be curious, keen to learn and ambitious to move into product management.

Why it's a great move

  • You'll be trusted early. Within a few months you'll own features end to end, from discovery and requirements right through to release and iteration.
  • AI is part of everyday life here. The team embraces it across research, writing, analysis and reporting, and they share new ideas and automations all the time.
  • It's an open, collaborative culture where junior voices are genuinely heard, with a clear path towards Product Manager.
  • Hybrid working is flexible, with just one day a week in the office, plus the occasional trip to work with European colleagues, socials included.

If you like a fast pace and see changing priorities as part of the fun, I'd love to hear from you.
