Partnered with a Global Sports and Entertainment organisation who are pioneers at delivering innovative fan experiences through TV/Media and Live events.

They are scaling their Data and IT Systems team looking for an experienced Database Administrator (Python, PowerShell, SQL ) responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, performance, and availability of the Database systems.

Scope of role:

• Provide the installation, configuration. Upgrades and maintenance of database platforms by utilising Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostreSQL, MongoDB.
• Monitor database performance alongside implementing and managing database security and user access controls.
• Create and maintain documents for IT systems and assist building on documentation process across the department.
• Manage projects through lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met whilst keeping stakeholders engaged throughout.
• Compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO27001, SOX and internal security policies.

Skills:

• Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Proven experience Scripting and automation including PowerShell, Python and T-SQL.
• Extensive knowledge of database backup, recovery, replication and high availability solutions.
• Understanding of database security principles and access management.
• Familiar with Cloud database platforms such as Microsoft Azure SQL
• Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory knowledge
